Origens is a community, art and culture-based group where everyone learns together playing music under trees, and surrounded by birds, in Austin’s public parks and the backyards of friends.

Currently Origens teaches and performs the rhythms of Coco, Ciranda and Maracatu Nação, which are important cultural representations in the Northeast of Brazil.
